I was born a Sikh. The word “Sikh” itself roughly translates to student. Me, being the student, means that my teacher could be anybody, from my classroom teacher to even God. One thing that has been taught to Sikhs since the beginning of this fairly modern religion, is that there are always bigger problems than the one you are facing right now. I may be worried about a big test coming up, while a whole country is worried about the hunger of their citizens. I always try to keep this in mind, so even when a test is first handed out, I make sure to clear my mind and remind myself that this test does not matter in the long run of my life. It doesn’t even compare to the problems other people are facing right now.
