Boys Golf

The boys golf team will begin their season with a match against Santa Clara on Thursday, Feb. 28. As a result of the new additions to the team, senior Jamie Hamilton believes that the season has a lot in store. “I think now that we have an older team with a lot of experience, coupled with that fact that we have a lot of new talent joining the team this year, it’s going to be fun to see what we can do,” he said.

The team is excited to begin their season and spend time together. “Even though golf at its core is an individual sport, when you play a round with somebody, you’re naturally going to be spending a lot of time just talking and joking around with them,” Hamilton said.

Coach Marc Igler is optimistic about the boys’ prospects of making it to the Central Coast Section (CCS). “This year, I hope our entire team can go to CCS. It’s been about 5 years since that has happened for Gunn golf,” he said. “I’m really excited about this year’s team. It’s shaping up to be one of the strongest in the past few years.”
