Proposition 15
Proposition 15 would increase funding for K-12 public schools and local governments by taxing businesses based on the current market value of their commercial or industrial property instead of their original purchase price. A “yes” vote would result in increased taxes on most commercial properties worth more than three million dollars, providing more funding for schools and
local governments. A “no” vote maintains the current property taxes, and schools would not receive more funding from property taxes.
