Toni Minion: Junior Class President

Hi class of ‘24! I’m Toni Minion and I’m running to be your Junior class president! During my two years on SEC as Freshman VP and Sophomore president, my passion for leadership has grown and I’ve really loved getting to represent our class, plan events, and build connections with peers. I’ve helped plan events like Jeopardy, Love Week, Cozy Snowmance, Turkey Feast, Trick or Treat, and the Homecoming Dance, to name a few. As promised, I used your input in every step of the process, both by listening to your thoughts and through collecting feedback at Class Council meetings. Next year, I pledge to continue to give you a voice when it comes to student activities. I also learned a lot from planning Homecoming this year, including strategies that we can implement next year to up our game (and beat the Seniors). In addition, I’m currently working on planning Sophomore movie night, coming up in April! As Junior year is notoriously stressful, I want to help by continuing to increase class spirit and create events planned around your suggestions, while reaching a wide variety of groups on campus. Specifically, I want to bring back the Animal Assisted Happiness program during finals week, which provides stress relief through animals that you can pet and play with at lunch.
