Beverly Lamis: Sports Commissioner

With red and black striped overalls, loud cheers, and big signs, it is hard to miss me in a crowd. While I shoot hoops on the court and in our school’s upcoming High School Musical, I make it my mission to shoot for a new path as the 2023-2024 Sports Commissioner. I will ensure that our games are as loud as ever, through constant publicity and presence during each sporting and spirit event. You will always hear my voice, cheering with the crowd and leading chants at games, and don’t worry, you won’t ever experience a silent student section while I’m sports commissioner. My main goal is to make sure Gunn can turn into a school known for its loud games and sports pride by increasing the fan turnout rate. After bringing the Lamis spirit to countless sporting events this year (even orchestra and band concerts), I know what is expected as Sports commissioner, and I’m ready to make the upcoming school year unforgettable.
