Margot Zelkha: Spirit Commissioner

As someone who has been exposed to many school cultures in the bay area, I take pride in Gunn’s school spirit and the community we have created for our students and peers regarding events. Throughout my time at Gunn, I have gotten the chance to notice how all students seem to be interconnected through shared values and interests, even if our similarities are not seen on the surface level at first. Using these interests, I aim to bring more attention to those who feel left out and invite them to create an even stronger school community. We have so much to learn from each other, and when we show support towards our peers and staff, we can find out more about ourselves and the ways we interact with those around us. This exploration can be seen through more diverse music, art, and sport-oriented games and events. Making more events fit a variety of students’ identities and interests is a top priority for me. I believe that I would be an exceptional fit for the position of Gunn’s Spirit Commissioner as I am inclusive, driven, passionate, reliable, and interested in every single voice of our student body. Make sure to vote for Margot Zelkha as your next Spirit Commissioner!
