Jennifer: I was a friend of your father Ed Cray and want to express my condolences! Since I live in Gary, Indiana, I only saw him when we would travel to LA to visit with my daughter, and sometimes have dinner with at his house in Santa Monica. I have written many books on folk music, which led to our initially meeting some years ago. I found him to be a dear friend and wonderful companion.
I am wondering what happened to the folk music/folklore materials that were in his house, including dealing with Woody Guthrie. I am closely connected with the Woody Guthrie Center in Tulsa, OK, which would be an excellent home for his collections.
In reading his obits I am amazed at the wide range of topics that he wrote about. I miss his friendship and sharp wit. What a guy!!
